In this edition, I’m pleased to announce a new Private Beta program for our AI products, the unveiling of our redesigned website, a unique opportunity for a Director of Engineering to join our team, and new releases of A Thousand Brains.
Announcing the Numenta Private Beta Program
We’re currently running a limited closed Beta for our AI products. In this beta, we are working with a handful of customers to create highly performant and cost-effective deep learning networks for Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and Computer Vision. Private Beta partners get early access to our neuroscience-based technology, work with our team to shape the product, and can take advantage of joint publicity programs. Whether you’re looking to deploy deep learning solutions for the first time or already running models in production, we’d love to work with you!

A Thousand Brains: Paperback Edition and Translated Versions
Just in time for the holidays, A Thousand Brains, one of Bill Gates’ Top 5 books of 2021, is now available in paperback. Written by our co-founder Jeff Hawkins, the book tells the story of the neuroscience discoveries that led to The Thousand Brains Theory, which is the foundation for our AI solutions. By building technology on the theory’s key principles, we are dramatically accelerating deep learning networks and uncovering new capabilities of AI.
In addition to the paperback, A Thousand Brains has been translated in over 15 different languages. For the release of the Chinese version, Jeff was asked to compare A Thousand Brains with On Intelligence, which he wrote in 2004. You can read Jeff’s thoughts in this blog post.
