Open-Source Community Manager

About the Thousand Brains Project:

The Thousand Brains Project is implementing the next generation of AI systems. We believe that to create human-like intelligence we need to take a close look at how the human neocortex works. The Thousand Brains Theory provides us with a solid foundation for our implementation of a generally intelligent system, and we are moving this project into the open source so we can build a community around it. Join our team and be part of building the next big thing in AI!

  • Share the progress of our research team in the form of blog posts, meeting recordings or specifically created videos, social media, and newsletters.
  • Facilitate our quarterly research meetings.
  • Talk to people who apply our solutions to real-world problems and communicate their problems back to our team of developers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences about research.
  • 3+ years experience with open-source projects, particularly with building and fostering a vibrant community around them.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good at explaining difficult concepts to people from varying backgrounds.
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and put them in your own words.
  • A general interest in creating brain-based AI and understanding intelligence.

What We Offer
