Numenta Challenge: Submit Entry

Steps for Submission

When you are ready to submit your application to the challenge, do the following:

  1. Have your application running on one of the supported platforms: Macintosh, Windows, or Linux.
  2. Build an executable of your application, for one of the supported platforms (if applicable).
  3. Write up build instructions for building your application from source. Include a list of required third party libraries and descriptions. If applicable (and legal) include the third party libraries.
  4. Package the source and build instructions together, removing any extraneous files like unnecessary objs, precompiled python files, etc.
  5. Write documentation on how to run and use the application.
  6. Write a readme.txt file, which needs to include:
    • Your name
    • Home mailing address
    • Phone number
    • Email address
    • Name of the application
    • application description
    • Descriptions of files in archive, including binaries, documentation, etc.
  7. Archive the contents in a known format (tar, gzip, or zip).
  8. Submit your entry through one of the methods below.

We are accepting entries between June 23 and September 22, 2008.

Mail Submission

If you don't have a fast Internet connection, or would prefer to send it to us through the mail, just follow these simple instructions:

  • Follow the Steps for Submission to ensure that your product meets our requirements.

  • Write your submission archive on a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM in a format readable by Macintosh or Windows machines (typically this is the ISO-9660 format for CDs and the UDF format for DVDs).

  • Package in a disk mailer and send to:
